BJU then and now...Dr Billy Kim

On November 7th of 2019, Dr. Bob spoke to the students in Chapel. Here he praised Dr. Billy Kim for his exemplary ministry and spread of the gospel in the far east. Hear these remarks at the beginning of his message.

Now listen as Dr. Kim speaks at Dr. Graham's funeral. As you can see Dr. Kim adored Dr. Graham. Dr. Kim translated for Dr. Graham during his South Korean campaign. Kim is known as the Billy Graham of Asia. Kim was also the president of Baptist World Alliance from 2000-2005.
BWA is a witch's brew of theological error and compromise. From broad evangelicals to open apostates, Dr. Kim represented them all.

He is also the chairman of the Far East Broadcasting company. They translate and broadcast sermons by Rick Warren. My assumption is that Dr. Kim has all of the best intentions but he, like Dr. Graham, spent a lifetime working hard in the ministry with but one result; the spread of a contaminated gospel which is arguably no gospel at all. He spent his life deceiving and being deceived. We should never recommend a ministry like this. Dr. Bob should have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness but instead, expose them. Ephesians 5:11
I love Dr. Bob. In some ways, he is a spiritual father to me. This is by far the most difficult blog that I have written so far. It breaks my heart to have to report such things. Dr. Bob, Dr. Bob's father, and grandfather fought hard against compromise. They quickly cut ties with those who contaminate the gospel. This quality of bold and biblically separated fundamentalism seems to have vanished from the BJU pulpit, and tragically, from Dr. Bob himself.

Dear Dr. Bob, 
Please return to us the powerful, unapologetic, flat-footed, golden chapel pulpit of the past. We love you sir and we spend many long hours praying for the institution that we love and that bears your name. You preached this message 14 short years ago. I could not agree more.

On February 2018 Dr. Steve Pettit president of Bob Jones University praised Dr. Billy Graham's ministry and his legacy. During a chapel message on November 7th of 2019, Dr. Bob praised the ministry of Dr. Billy Kim . Dr. Kim has always been a lover of the Graham ministry. It is a well-documented fact that Graham and Kim made partnering with the Roman Catholics (and others)  IN MINISTRY  a matter of course. Johnson On January 23, 2020, BJU invited the public on campus to screen the movie Unplanned created by pro-life advocate Abby Johnson. Then on March 5, 2020, BJU hosted the Piedmont Women's Center (PWC) for their fundraising event. The speaker for the evening was Abby Johnson. During the event, Johnson "preached the gospel". On stage, displayed on a banner, were the words of Isaiah 43:19. Johnson said, "We must give the gospel to these ladies, not the watered-down Jesus but the powerful Jesus...everyone here is a sinner and in the need of a savior"

BJU then and now...North Greenville University

Dr. Sam Horn, (former) executive vice president of Bob Jones University (BJU) was a guest speaker at Detroit Theological Seminary's 2018 E3 Pastors Conference. Two Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) pastors Dr. Richard Caldwell and Dr. Rick Holland shared the platform with Horn and Dr. Dave Doran. As previously noted , BJU president Dr. Steve Pettit retains two high-level SBC professors Dr. Lonnie Polson and Mr. Jeffrey Stegall on the faculty at BJU. Fant Pettit North Greenville University (NGU) is a highly compromised new evangelical liberal arts school affiliated with the SBC. BJU has never extended a hand of fellowship to NGU...until now. On Monday, February 5th 2018 Dr. Gene Fant, president of NGU was the guest of honor on campus at BJU. At the beginning of the chapel message Pettit said, "we are honored this morning to have as our guest Dr. Gene Fant...we are going to fellowship [with Fant] for lunch today...stand and give him a warm welcome here at Bob Jo

BJU then and now...Global warming?!

  Pettit The "Presidents newsletter"  BJU today article December 2021 says, "BJU has been awarded the prestigious Elon Musk Xprize to reduce carbon emissions in order to mitigate global warming."
